Grand Ming Group has been advocating ORBIS charity walk in the past few years. To continue the support of sight-saving, Grand Ming Group joined the ORBIS Moonwalker on November 11, 2018. The team completed a 20-km walking overnight from Shatin Sports Ground to Tai Mei Tuk in 6 hours. The team members also experienced a 10-minute blindfold walk to arouse their awareness of avoidable blindness. The moonwalker was designed with the theme “Nostalgia Night” this year, a pop-up store and a food stall were decorated at the setting of 80’s. Participants enjoyed light painting along the fun walking and seeing the dawn at the end.
Moonwalkers, an event of overnight charity walk, has been organized by ORBIS every year. The event aims at supporting the cure and prevention of sight loss problem, equipping the hospitals and training eye health professionals. It also increases the awareness towards eye health care of the public.
